YouTube starts testing 15-second long videos, sounds a lot like TikTok

YouTube has started testing a new feature that lets users create videos that are 15 seconds long. This new feature might go by the name ‘ shorts ’. These would be multi-segment videos just like TikTok. That means users can stop and continue recording for jump cuts, a feature that is quite popular across TikTok. “Tap or hold the record button to record your first clip, then tap again or release the button to stop recording that clip. Repeat these steps until you’re done capturing footage up to a maximum length of 15 seconds.” read the announcement . It is clear that YouTube is testing this feature to compete with TikTok . In yet another blow to Facebook/ WhatsApp’s payment ambition, Brazil’s Central Bank has suspended the payment feature of WhatsApp. For a recap, WhatsApp rolled out its payment feature nationwide in the third week of June. However, things didn’t go as planned for the company and Brazil’s Central Bank has now decided to shut down the operation. This is a major step back for the Facebook-owned company as the company has been trying to enter the payments game for a long time. Samsung has launched another player in its widely popular Galaxy A series. The Galaxy A21s comes in two variants with a starting price of 16499. This comes as a successor to the Galaxy A20s with some major upgrades. Galaxy A21s comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-O Display that has a 20:9 aspect ratio. Facebook-owned WhatsApp has launched the latest digital payments feature for Brazil. This feature allows users to make and receive in-app payments. WhatsApp Payments were released in India in February 2020 after approval from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). This however was a limited release with the first phase involving 10 million users. Since then, there have been reports of Facebook running into regulatory challenges in India that have been preventing it from starting a more widespread rollout for Whatsapp Pay. Whatsapp had been testing the feature its payments feature in India since February 2018. During the trial run in 2018, payments through WhatsApp were introduced to a million users under a partnership with ICICI Bank. In Brazil, payments on WhatsApp are backed by Facebook Pay . Redmi 9 Full Specifications and Design Leaked

Redmi’s new budget warrior, Redmi 9 may have been leaked ahead of its launch. A Filipino retailer has laid bare the full design and specifications of the upcoming smartphone. Redmi hasn’t made any announcements about the phone so far but it is expected to be a budget smartphone and a successor to Redmi 8. It is expected to launch on June 25 in China. Thanks to the leak, we now have the specifications and design of the phone. Redmi 9 is seen to have a quad-camera setup on the back with three image sensors placed in one line at the back, and a fourth camera sensor sits on the side with the flash. The quad cameras are tipped to include a 13-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel secondary camera, a 5-megapixel tertiary sensor, and a 2-megapixel fourth camera. The fingerprint sensor is placed right below the three cameras. The front side of the phone is expected to have a 6.5-inch full-HD LCD display with a waterdrop-style notch for the selfie camera.
