Intelligence agencies want you to remove these Chinese apps from your phone right now

Data security has been a major concern for quite some time now. The debate on whether home assistants should be allowed to record everything users say has also been going on for a while. Using user data for unethical purposes is against Google Play Store policies. Google in the past has taken down apps that violate this policy. India’s beloved Mitron app being one of them. If these apps are really a ‘threat’ to the user’s privacy, surely Google wouldn’t mind stepping it.
The hostility between India-China has been witnessed to a large extent in the tech industry. Starting from the entire TikTok vs YouTube saga, followed by the rise Mitron app which was taken down by Google, Remove China app, which too was taken down by Google. A development like this will only add more fuel to the fire that is the ongoing anti-China wave across the country. People have been boycotting Chinese goods to show their patriotism. https://bit.ly/2ClCCK9
